Cosmetic Dentistry Philosophy at Advanced DDS
Making an irreversible decision to change how we look can be a difficult one. It often takes a lot of thought and time. Knowing that once the procedure is completed you can never return to the way you looked before can be very stressful.
Cosmetic dentistry is something that the patient must want and be sure that they want. The dentist is not the one to make the final decision about going ahead with treatment, the patient is.
In this situation, the patient had an initial consultation and computer imaging one year before treatment was started. It took her a year to feel comfortable with changing her teeth for ever.
After she decided that porcelain veneers were right for her, she felt at ease scheduling her visits for treatment. She knew that she wanted a new smile but had to feel comfortable doing what was necessary to achieve it.
As you can see, it was well worth the wait.
